I've been working on my midterm in my bookarts class. I did a stab bound book with some woodcuts printed over digital printouts. The above pictures are links to a larger view. I included the text that accompanies the woodcut in the book and a jpg of the book's cover. Enjoy!
OMG, Patti! Your woodcuts over inkjet are... MARVELOUS!!! How many total illustrations are there? If more, sure wish we could see 'em!!! GREAT job and SO very evocative ('my' broken wing crow passed away after 4 1/2 miserable years here in my studio and I can't face tearing down his giant 6x6x4 foot 'home' -- SO sad) but you've captured their dark magic so wonderfully along with your scarecrows! Just love your book! MANY years ago I experimented a while with printing woodcut over inkjet (both direct inkjet and transfers), but never with such affecting results. Congrattulations!
Hi all, these are the only woodcuts, the other pages are poems, snippits of song and photos of lawn art in my neighborhood. I wanted to get photos of scarecrows in peoples veggie gardens but I guess I'm the only nut in my neighborhood that uses a real scarecrow...in research on line I found that there is actually a decline all over in the use of scarecrows...it's like some kind of social ill...mechanization of crow shooing has increased worldwide scarecrow unemployment! ;^} ~PPC~
Great woodcuts. I loved them all. Would love to see the book too. There's a great book in my library at home in Florence of the Scarecrows of Tuscany photographed during the 70's-80's with funny captions. When I get back I'll pull it out and post some.

Wonderfully creative way of working! And very effective!
